Lodging & Location Info:
The beach at The Cove is one of the most private in the island: guests can access it at any time, however, only at low tide is it possible for others to pass through.
The beach features a walk-through grotto, a place of romance and adventure. Passing through will bring you to a landscape with extraordinary rock formations and exotic views, which can be followed all the way up to Balian beach with its famous surf waves and colorful bars and restaurants.
To the left-hand side of The Cove lies another, longer beach, accessible at low tide, which is fantastic for walking, shell-seeking, and for exploring tidal pools.
Location: Balian Beach
Never heard of Balian? Trust us, that's a good thing.
Because Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia (and the world!), it is undoubtedly becoming more and more crowded every year. These crowds often have the potential to overshadow the serene vibe living at the core of the island.
Balian Beach is a hidden gem on the West Coast of Bali. It takes about 2 hours to reach Balian Beach from the International Airport.
This area boasts consistent waves (good for all levels), volcanic black sand, AND creamy white sand beaches, alike. Rice terraces lead right up to the coastline in some areas, as the entire region is covered with vibrant green hues.
You can still catch a glimpse of authentic Balinese culture through daily ceremonies, temple visits, and simple coastal living.
